DeckLink IP: Revolutionize Your Broadcast Workflow with Native IP 2110
DeckLink IP cards offer the most intuitive and powerful solution for capturing and playing back high-quality video directly within modern IP 2110-based broadcast systems. Designed with full compatibility with the software you already use, thanks to the renowned DeckLink lineage, these cards seamlessly integrate into your production environment. They are ideal for powering rack-mounted servers dedicated to generating sophisticated broadcast graphics, creating immersive virtual sets, or for complex GPU-based AI image processing, all operating natively within your IP 2110 infrastructure. Even broadcast editing suites using DaVinci Resolve can benefit from IP 2110 support, with DeckLink IP ensuring high performance on the latest Mac Pro, Windows, and Linux computers via a high-speed PCIe connection.
A Comprehensive Range for Every IP 2110 Need
The DeckLink IP family comprises three distinct models to address various infrastructural requirements:
- DeckLink IP HD: Offers two channels of capture and playback for IP 2110 systems through a single, convenient RJ45 Ethernet connection.
- DeckLink IP HD Optical: Provides the same two-channel functionality but via an SFP optical fiber Ethernet connection, ideal for longer distances and high-interference environments.
- DeckLink IP/SDI HD: A hybrid model bridging traditional SDI with new IP 2110 infrastructures. It features two capture/playback channels for IP 2110 (via RJ45), 3G-SDI connectivity, and a dedicated reference output. All models fully support 720p, 1080i, and 1080p video standards up to 1080p60, ensuring flexibility for any HD production.
Full SMPTE ST2110 Compliance and Advanced Security
DeckLink IP cards are fully compliant with the SMPTE ST2110 standard, which governs the transport, synchronization (via PTP protocol), and description of video, audio, and ancillary data streams over broadcast IP networks. They support SMPTE-2110-20 (uncompressed video), -21 (traffic shaping), -30 (audio), and -40 (ancillary data) specifications. The crucial advantage of the SMPTE 2110 standard lies in the independent transport of these streams and support for multicast, enabling efficient distribution from a single source to multiple destinations. In terms of security, critical in IP environments, DeckLink IP acts as a video firewall: data transfer occurs via frame buffers, isolating the card's Ethernet port from non-audio/video traffic and protecting the IP 2110 network from potential threats like rogue ware or hacker attacks.
High Performance and Integration Flexibility
The high-speed 4-lane PCI Express interface ensures an ultra-low latency connection to the host computer, efficiently managing multiple HD video channels and simultaneous capture/playback on each. This advanced technology, offered in an affordable card, allows installation even in compact computers and rack servers (thanks to the low-profile design of DeckLink IP HD and HD Optical models). Connections are multi-rate, supporting all SD and HD formats. The DeckLink IP/SDI model, with its dual IP 2110 and 3G-SDI connectivity, is perfect for integrating existing infrastructures with IP-based ones, also offering a 3G-SDI output for local monitoring. The cards instantly switch between 525i, 625i, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p standards without complex reconfiguration.
Professional Video Quality and Broad Software Compatibility
Designed for maximum video quality, DeckLink IP cards support capture and playback in popular formats like Apple ProRes, DNxHD, and even 10-bit uncompressed video. Working in 10-bit means four times the color precision of 8-bit, ensuring images are a perfect, pixel-for-pixel copy of the original. This is fundamental for flawless green screen keying, complex VFX compositing, and high-level color correction. DeckLink IP is compatible with all major video software, allowing you to continue using your favorite tools. It's ideal with DaVinci Resolve for IP 2110-based editing and color correction workflows, leveraging simultaneous capture and playback for Live Grading. Compatibility extends to Final Cut Pro, Media Composer, Premiere Pro, and VFX software like Fusion, After Effects, and Photoshop. A Windows WDM driver is also included.
Ideal for Broadcast Automation and Global Streaming
DeckLink IP easily integrates with custom broadcast automation systems, supporting industry-leading software such as Tools On Air just:Broadcast Suite, Softron OnTheAir, Vidblaster X, and Playbox AirBox. For live streaming, the cards work with common software (Open Broadcaster, Wirecast, Livestream Producer), converting any IP 2110 stream into live broadcasts for global platforms, and can interface with ATEM Streaming Bridge to connect to remote broadcast networks.
Custom Development with Free SDK
All DeckLink cards include a free Software Development Kit (SDK) for Mac, Windows, and Linux. This powerful tool offers developers low-level hardware control and high-level interfaces to create custom solutions, whether for in-house use or commercial distribution, as demonstrated by thousands of successful integrations into commercial broadcast products. The innovative Blackmagic OS manages all HyperDeck Shuttle functions, ensuring instant power-on and access to advanced features.
