DeckLink IP HD Optical connects the computer to a SMPTE 2110 fiber broadcast network through a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ port. It provides 2 capture and 2 playback channels at the same time, each up to 1080p60 with 16 audio channels.
What the DeckLink IP HD Optical is for
It is the fiber version of DeckLink IP HD, for 2110 facilities where distance or network infrastructure call for fiber: ingest, playout, graphics and recording connected to the IP network. It works with Apple ProRes, DNxHD or 10-bit uncompressed video.
Formats and quality
Formats 525i, 625i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p up to 1080p60; 8, 10 and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 up to 1080p30 and 8 and 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 in all formats. Power consumption: 10 W.
Installation and compatibility
It uses a 4 lane second generation PCI Express slot and also works in wider slots. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac computers with PCI Express slots; the Desktop Video driver includes Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and the setup utility, and the free SDK lets you build the card into your own applications.
IP HD Optical or IP HD?
Features are the same: IP HD uses a copper 10G RJ45 Ethernet port, IP HD Optical uses optical fiber.
