ATEM Camera Converter puts everything a camera needs in a live production into one unit: it converts the camera's SDI or HDMI output to optical fiber towards the control room and receives the program back from the control room, also over fiber, for monitoring. It has an internal battery, talkback, tally and microphone inputs.
What the ATEM Camera Converter is for
It is used with the ATEM Studio Converter in the control room: with a single single mode fiber each camera receives program, tally and intercom and sends its signal to the switcher even over long distances, which SDI cables cannot do. It suits events, sports, churches and studios with cameras far from the control room.
Connections
10-bit SD/HD SDI in and out, HDMI in and out, single mode LC optical fiber for video and audio in and out (channels 1 and 2 camera audio, 15 and 16 intercom), 3.5 mm jacks for talkback headphones and microphone compatible with smartphone headsets, 2 balanced TRS inputs at mic level, mini-B USB for setup and updates. 12V power supply included with adapters for all countries.
Camera Converter and Studio Converter
The two units work as a pair: one Camera Converter per camera and an ATEM Studio Converter in the control room for up to 4 cameras, with several Studio Converters cascaded for larger facilities.
