Blackmagic Production Camera 4K PL is a compact 4K digital film camera with a Super 35 size sensor with global shutter and a professional PL mount for manually operated cinema lenses. It offers 12 stops of dynamic range and a built in recorder for CinemaDNG RAW at 4000 x 2160 and Apple ProRes at 3840 x 2160 and 1920 x 1080 onto removable 2.5" SSDs.

The 5" capacitive touchscreen is used for monitoring, settings and metadata entry, inside a strong machined aluminium chassis. Connections include a 6G-SDI output, two balanced 1/4" jack audio inputs switchable between mic and line level, a headphone output, LANC remote control and a Thunderbolt port.
