Blackmagic Design Cloud Backup 8 – Network backup dock for 8 3.5" disks
Blackmagic Cloud Backup 8 is a large 8-bay hard disk dock for backing up large media files to low cost computer hard disks over a 10G Ethernet network.
What the Cloud Backup 8 is for
It has an internal power supply and an elegant rack mount design, ideal for installing in a studio alongside other network equipment; it is used to archive projects and keep a safety copy. Like all Blackmagic Cloud products it shares files over the network with SMB and NFS, is set up with Blackmagic Cloud Setup and includes Blackmagic Proxy Generator Lite. With Blackmagic Cloud it can sync files with other locations worldwide, and the HDMI output shows device name, storage capacity and use, sync status, user activity, hardware status and network data rate graphs on a monitor.
Connections
8 hot-swappable slots for 3.5" SATA hard disks, 4 10G Ethernet ports, USB-C 3.0 with Ethernet over USB, HDMI monitor output, SMB 3 Multichannel, up to 200 connections. LED on each bay: red when writing, green when reading.
