Blackmagic Design DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G – 4K PCIe card with 12G-SDI, HDMI and analog
DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G is the DeckLink card with the most connections: dual link 12G-SDI, HDMI up to 2160p60, analog component, composite and S-Video, balanced analog audio on XLR and AES/EBU, RS-422 control and reference. It works in SD, HD, Ultra HD up to 60p and 4K DCI at 4096 x 2160 up to 25p.
What the DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G is for
It is the card for post production suites that work with equipment of every generation: SDI cameras and recorders, HDMI monitors, analog decks controlled over RS-422. It captures 10-bit YUV or full bandwidth 12-bit RGB, with up, down and cross conversion and stereoscopic 3D output.

2 12G-SDI inputs and 2 outputs (single or dual link, 4:2:2 or 4:4:4, 2D or 3D), HDMI in and out up to 2160p60, component YUV video on 3 BNCs switchable to S-Video or composite, 2 channels of balanced analog XLR audio in and out, AES/EBU, Sony compatible RS-422 port and Black Burst or Tri-Sync input. The DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G HDMI 2.0 and Quad SDI daughter cards are available as accessories. Power consumption: 30 W.
Installation and compatibility
It uses a 8 lane second generation PCI Express slot and also works in wider slots. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac computers with PCI Express slots; the Desktop Video driver includes Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and the setup utility, and the free SDK lets you build the card into your own applications.
4K Extreme 12G, SDI 4K or 8K Pro?
If you only need SDI, DeckLink SDI 4K costs less but stops at 6G and 2160p30. For 8K or 4 channels of 12G there is DeckLink 8K Pro G2. 4K Extreme 12G remains the choice when you need 12G-SDI, HDMI and analog connections together.
