Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro G2 – 8K PCIe card with 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.1
DeckLink 8K Pro G2 is the top of the DeckLink range for digital cinema and post production. It has 4 bidirectional 12G-SDI connections plus HDMI 2.1 in and out, and works in all SD, HD, Ultra HD, 4K and 8K formats.
What the DeckLink 8K Pro G2 is for
It is designed for 8K editing, color grading and effects and for HDR reference monitoring. With the free SDK you can configure up to 4 independent video streams, in any direction, format or frame rate up to 4K DCI 60p: useful for multi channel capture and playback systems.
Connections and quality
The 4 12G-SDI connections work in single, dual and quad link, 4:2:2 or 4:4:4, 2D or 3D. It supports 8 and 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 and 10 and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4. There is a Black Burst or Tri-Sync reference input. Power consumption: 30 W.
Installation and compatibility
It uses a 8 lane third generation PCI Express slot and also works in wider slots. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac computers with PCI Express slots; the Desktop Video driver includes Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and the setup utility, and the free SDK lets you build the card into your own applications.
8K Pro G2 or 8K Pro Mini?
8K Pro Mini has the same 4 12G-SDI connections on a low profile card with Micro BNC connectors, but no HDMI. 8K Pro G2 is full height and adds HDMI 2.1 for direct monitoring.
