Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro Mini – Low profile 8K PCIe card, 4 x 12G-SDI
DeckLink 8K Pro Mini brings 8K capture and playback to a low profile card. It has 4 independent 12G-SDI connections with Micro BNC connectors and works in SD, HD, Ultra HD, 4K DCI, 8K and 8K DCI.
What the DeckLink 8K Pro Mini is for
It is designed for post production and digital cinema in compact computers or rack servers: 8K editing and grading, HDR workflows with full Rec. 2020 color, high frame rate capture up to 120p in HD and Ultra HD.
Connections and quality
The 12G-SDI connections work in single, dual and quad link, 4:2:2 or 4:4:4, 2D or 3D. It supports 8, 10 and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 up to 8K DCI 30p and 8 and 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 in all formats, up to 4320p60. There is a Black Burst or Tri-Sync reference input. Power consumption: 18 W.
Installation and compatibility
It uses a 8 lane third generation PCI Express slot and also works in wider slots. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac computers with PCI Express slots; the Desktop Video driver includes Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and the setup utility, and the free SDK lets you build the card into your own applications. Micro BNC connectors attach to standard BNCs with adapter cables.
8K Pro Mini or 8K Pro G2?
8K Pro G2 is full height, uses standard BNCs and adds HDMI 2.1; 8K Pro Mini is the choice when space matters.
