DeckLink IP/SDI HD works with both SMPTE 2110 networks and traditional SDI. It has a 10G RJ45 Ethernet port with 2 capture and 2 playback channels, 2 3G-SDI connections configurable as input or output, and a reference output.
What the DeckLink IP/SDI HD is for
It is the card for the transition from SDI to IP: the same computer can receive and send video over the 2110 network and keep talking to SDI monitors, switchers and recorders. It works with Apple ProRes, DNxHD or 10-bit uncompressed video.
Connections and formats
10G BASE-T Ethernet with 2 inputs and 2 outputs, each up to 1080p60 with 16 audio channels; 2 bidirectional 3G-SDI connections up to 12 bit with 16 audio channels; Black Burst or Tri-Sync reference output. Formats from 525i to 1080p60, 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 up to 1080p30. Power consumption: 10 W.
Installation and compatibility
It uses a 4 lane second generation PCI Express slot and also works in wider slots. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac computers with PCI Express slots; the Desktop Video driver includes Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and the setup utility, and the free SDK lets you build the card into your own applications.
IP/SDI HD or IP HD?
If the facility is already all IP, DeckLink IP HD is enough; IP/SDI HD is needed when SDI equipment must be connected too.
