DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder captures four HDMI sources at the same time, each in its own format: SD, HD, Ultra HD, 4K DCI up to 60p and even computer resolutions. It is like having four HDMI capture cards in one slot.
What the DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder is for
It suits software switching and streaming with several HDMI cameras, game capture from consoles and PCs, recording presentations and conferences with multiple sources, and video analysis systems.
Inputs and quality
Each of the 4 HDMI 2.0b inputs detects its format automatically. Up to 4K DCI 30p it also captures 12-bit RGB 4:4:4; in Ultra HD and 4K at 50p and 60p the signal is 8-bit YUV 4:2:0, as defined by HDMI 2.0. As with all capture cards, it cannot record copy protected sources. Power consumption: 23 W.
Installation and compatibility
It uses a 8 lane third generation PCI Express slot and also works in wider slots. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac computers with PCI Express slots; the Desktop Video driver includes Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and the setup utility, and the free SDK lets you build the card into your own applications.
Quad HDMI Recorder or Mini Recorder 4K?
For a single HDMI or SDI source up to 2160p30 the low profile DeckLink Mini Recorder 4K is enough. Quad HDMI Recorder is the one when you have more than one source or need Ultra HD at 60p.
