HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro: Ultra HD broadcast recorder and player with 12G-SDI, ProRes 4444 fill and key, H.265, 10G Ethernet, SSD and SD, dual power supply.
Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro – 12G-SDI Ultra HD rack broadcast recorder
HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro has all the features of the HD models with processing for Ultra HD: 12G-SDI with 12G loop output, two 12G-SDI outputs for playing ProRes 4444 files with Ultra HD fill and key, HDMI and ProRes and DNx files switching between SD, HD and Ultra HD.
What the HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is for
It is the master recorder for Ultra HD control rooms and studios. In SD and HD it also records H.264, in Ultra HD it switches to H.265 for smaller files. 10G Ethernet speeds up file transfer and two internal power supplies provide redundancy. HyperDeck Studio models record to SD cards and, depending on the model, to SSDs or USB-C disks, in standard ProRes, DNx and H.264 files (H.265 for Ultra HD on the 4K Pro) that can be edited immediately without conversion. They are controlled from the front panel, via RS-422 like broadcast decks or over the network with the HyperDeck Ethernet protocol.
