Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G converts SDI to optical fiber and fiber to SDI at the same time, even with different standards in each direction. The multi rate 12G-SDI connections are compatible with all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats.
What the Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G is for
It connects cameras, monitors and control rooms over long distances where copper SDI cable cannot reach: stadiums, arenas, multi room events, links between buildings. It is used in pairs, one at each end of the fiber.
Connections
12G-SDI input and output (SD, HD, 3G level A and B, 6G and 12G), SMPTE SFP fiber socket (SFP module sold separately), 16 embedded audio channels in both directions. Power consumption: 2 W.
Build and power
Like all Blackmagic Mini Converters it has a rugged metal case, is set up with switches and the free utility over USB, and includes the +12V universal power supply with socket adapters for most countries.
