Blackmagic OpenGear Converter - Audio to SDI
Blackmagic OpenGear Converter - Audio to SDI embeds 4 channels of analog audio or 8 channels of AES/EBU digital audio into any SDI video connection. It can embed audio from audio mixers and analog decks into SDI video for use with SDI routers and decks, or add extra audio channels to video converters.
Blackmagic OpenGear Converters are fully compatible with OpenGear, the open standard for rack mount conversion and processing for television broadcasters, and fit 20-card models of the 2 RU OpenGear frames. The cards are hot swappable and can be controlled and monitored over the network with the java based DashBoard software on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux; new standards can be uploaded via the USB port. Audio is 24 bit analog and 24 bit digital: analog or AES/EBU digital audio is selected with mini switches or remotely via DashBoard, AES/EBU inputs have sample rate converters, and the standard 2 ch and 4 ch audio rear modules are supported.
