Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 – 6K Super 35 cinema camera with EF mount
Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 has a 6144 x 3456 6K Super 35 sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO 400 and 3200, an active EF mount, a 5" tilting touchscreen and a larger battery for longer shooting. It records Blackmagic RAW and ProRes to cards or directly to USB-C disks.
What the Pocket 6K G2 is for
It is the Pocket for people who want the Super 35 format and the vast range of EF lenses: short films, documentaries, commercials, events. The optional OLED viewfinder can be added.
Formats and recording
It shoots 6K up to 50 fps, 6K 2.4:1 and 5.7K 17:9 up to 60 fps, 4K DCI and Ultra HD up to 60 fps and anamorphic formats. It records to 1 CFast 2.0 slot, 1 SD UHS-II slot and the USB-C port for external disks.
Connections and use
HDMI output up to 1080p60, 2 mini XLR audio inputs with phantom power, 3.5 mm stereo input, built in stereo microphone, NP-F570 batteries.
Software
Every Blackmagic camera includes DaVinci Resolve Studio, the editing, grading, effects and audio software used in film and television, which reads Blackmagic RAW files directly.
Pocket 6K G2 or Pocket 6K Pro?
Pocket 6K Pro adds built in ND filters (2, 4 and 6 stops) and a brighter HDR screen, useful outdoors; the G2 has no ND filters.
