Blackmagic Teranex Mini Audio to Optical 12G
The Teranex Mini Audio to Optical 12G embeds two channels of analog audio or four channels of AES/EBU digital audio into any SD, HD, Ultra HD or DCI 4K SDI video connection, so audio from mixers or analog decks can travel over optical fiber across longer distances. Audio can come from balanced XLR analog, XLR AES/EBU, unbalanced RCA analog or TOSLINK optical inputs.
Switches select the destination channels among the 16 SDI channels and enable sample rate conversion to 48 kHz; single channels can be bypassed to keep existing audio. The optical input auto-detects SD, HD, 6G and 12G-SDI, and the LC optical connections need an optional SMPTE compatible SFP module. More channels can be embedded by daisy chaining a second converter.
