Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini HDMI to Optical 12G – HDMI to SDI and optical fiber converter
Teranex Mini HDMI to Optical 12G converts HDMI to SDI and SMPTE optical fiber: by inserting the fiber SFP module of your choice you send video with embedded audio over huge distances, in 3G, 6G or 12G-SDI. An up converter takes SD and HD sources to Ultra HD displays.
What the Teranex Mini HDMI to Optical 12G is for
It sends HDMI sources such as cameras, computers and players to a control room or distant screens over fiber.
Connections
HDMI 2.0 input up to 2160p60, 12G-SDI output, fiber output with optional SFP module, 2 channels of balanced analog and 4 channels of AES/EBU audio on XLR (the right XLR can be a timecode input).
Build and power
Like all Teranex Minis it has an internal 100-240V power supply (IEC cable required), can also be powered over PoE+ Ethernet at 48V, is set up over USB or Ethernet and accepts the optional Smart Panel with LCD, knob and 6 buttons for front panel control. Power consumption is 16 W.
