UltraStudio Mini Recorder 12G

UltraStudio Mini Recorder 12G is a compact capture-only interface that adds broadcast quality 12G-SDI and HDMI inputs to any Thunderbolt 4 laptop or desktop. It is designed for live streaming from switchers and cameras, for AI image processing workflows and for ingesting material from legacy broadcast decks, with an SDI loop output for passing the signal downstream. Data and power travel over a single Thunderbolt cable, with no external PSU required.

Software and operating systems

Supplied with Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey, Blackmagic Desktop Video Utility and the Blackmagic driver on macOS and Windows; Media Express, Desktop Video Utility and driver on Linux. Firmware is embedded in the driver and updated at system start or through the updater.
