URSA Cine 12K LF Body: cinema camera with 16 stop 12K large format RGBW sensor, ND filters and HDR assist screen, Body version with EF mount and CFexpress module, for building your own rig.
Blackmagic Design URSA Cine 12K LF Body – 12K large format cinema camera body, EF mount
URSA Cine 12K LF Body is a high end cinema camera with a large format 36 x 24 mm RGBW sensor with 16 stops of dynamic range, interchangeable lens mounts, a dedicated assist station with a second 5" HDR touchscreen, built in ND filters (2, 4 and 6 stops) and industry standard Lemo and Fischer connections.
It is the Body version, for people who already own cinema accessories and want to build their own rig: it excludes top handle, baseplate, power supply, battery plate and PL mount. It has the locking EF mount, the Media Module CF with 2 CFexpress Type B slots (also compatible with the 8TB and 16TB Media Modules), 10G Ethernet and WiFi.
What the URSA Cine 12K LF Body is for
It is designed for high end film, series and commercials that need large format and maximum dynamic range, and with the 100G version also for live sports and SMPTE 2110 broadcast.
Recording and connections
It records Blackmagic RAW. It has 2 XLR audio inputs switchable between mic, line and AES with phantom power, a locking USB-C port for the URSA Cine EVF or PYXIS Monitor, +24V power outputs on 7-pin and 3-pin Fischer connectors for accessories, and precision timecode.
Software
Every Blackmagic camera includes DaVinci Resolve Studio, the editing, grading, effects and audio software used in film and television, which reads Blackmagic RAW files directly.
