The Samyang 10mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS NCS CS II is an ultra wide-angle manual focus cine lens designed for APS-C sensors (CS), for interiors, architecture, landscapes and shots in tight spaces. The optical design has 14 elements, including one extra-low dispersion (ED) element and two glass aspherical elements, for high contrast from the centre to the corners even wide open. It is the first Samyang lens with the Nano Coating System (NCS), which lowers reflections and increases contrast; focus goes down to 0.24 m. This version has the Canon EF mount, for Canon EOS DSLR cameras.

Built for film and video work, it has gear rings for follow focus systems on both the focus and the aperture ring (0.8 mm module), and the de-clicked aperture changes exposure quietly and smoothly while recording. T-stop and distance scales are marked on both sides of the barrel, so they can be read by the operator and by the focus puller. The diaphragm has 6 blades, the barrel is in high-strength aluminium alloy and the petal-shaped hood is built in. Lenses of the Samyang VDSLR line share the same colour rendering and the same position of the focus and aperture gears, which makes lens changes on a rig quicker.
