The Samyang 21mm T1.5 ED AS UMC CS is a compact wide-angle manual focus cine lens for mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors (CS). The bright T1.5 aperture helps in dim light, and the 21 mm focal length suits both wide shots and environmental portraits. The optical design has 8 elements in 7 groups, including one extra-low dispersion (ED) element and three glass aspherical elements, with Samyang Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) against flare and ghosting. Minimum focus distance is 0.28 m. This version has the Micro Four Thirds mount, for Panasonic Lumix, OM System/Olympus and other Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras.

Built for film and video work, it has gear rings for follow focus systems on both the focus and the aperture ring (0.8 mm module), and the de-clicked aperture changes exposure quietly and smoothly while recording. T-stop and distance scales are marked on both sides of the barrel, so they can be read by the operator and by the focus puller. The diaphragm has 9 blades for a nearly circular aperture, the compact and light barrel is in high-strength aluminium alloy and a detachable petal-shaped hood is provided.
