SKAARHOJ ETH-GPI Link

A must-have in any control room and OB van. The ETH-GPI Link connects and controls a wide range of broadcast devices through 8 general purpose inputs and 8 general purpose outputs: signal routing, tally, switching and utility functions, with integration into systems such as Blackmagic ATEM switchers, AJA KUMO and Grass Valley routers, RCP controllers and tally lamps. It can also be used to extend and distribute GPIO over a standard LAN.

It can route signals from Panasonic AW-RP controllers to ATEM switchers, manage inputs and outputs on Videohub routers, give SKAARHOJ IP panels bi-directional communication with non-Ethernet devices, convert legacy analog GPI signals to and from Ethernet, or interface devices in different locations. The standard version has a single DB25 port with 16 contact closures: 8 inputs and 8 outputs.

Notes

• SKAARHOJ GPI inputs accept open collector and relay outputs (pulled to GND). The default HD15 tally connector of the TriCaster TC1 does not provide a directly working signal: the 5 V potential must be converted to GND.
